Sony Ericsson Nozomi Xperia HD Hands-On Pictures, Ahead of Official Launch at Las Vegas CES

ITProPortal.com is exclusively publishing these hands on set of walkthrough images of the yet-to-be-announced Sony Ericsson 'Nozomi' Xperia HD mobile phone, which is due to be launched at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, next week.ITPP has obtained these images from a trusted source, along with detailed benchmarking results - which can be seen below. The test results clearly highlight that the Sony Ericsson Xperia HD handset does contain a HD screen, with the resolution of 720x1280 - as ITProPortal suggested yesterday, after the company posted a teaser image to Facebook of the mobile. The codename 'Nozomi' phone, which is set to be called the Xperia HD, will run from the Android 'Gingerbread' 2.3.7 OS with the Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8660 chipset, which is also used in the HTC Evo 3D mobile. This Qualcomm chip supports a dual core 1.5GHz processor, although the Quadrant screen-shots only show a single core in action at the time of capture. It has been confirmed the HD phone does house a 12megapixel camera, 1GB of RAM and the model was benchmarked to have 8GB of internal storage. There's no support for microSD cards, which limits the memory expansion options and the mobile can only take a microSIM card too - joining the Nokia Lumia 800 and Motorola Razr, besides the Apple devices. The pictures below highlight the Sony Ericsson 'Nozomi' Xperia HD and its dimensions; the phone's back cover removed, with the microSIM card on display and the lack of a microSD card slot. This is along with the Xperia HD up and running, with a clear see-through band around the entire phone that houses the back, home and menu buttons on the front; ITProPortal.com loaded inside the mobile's web browser; the Xperia HD compared to the Xperia arc S and the benchmarking results.source
