Galaxy Tab combines sturdy hardware with Google-approved Android 2.2 which means you get full Android Os experience. Last month, Rim announced Playbook that would rival both iPad and Galaxy Tab when it will be made available to the public. But, if you were to select in the middle of the Galaxy Tab and Playbook, which one would you choose? Let me help you out.
Weight
Android Tablet 7
Galaxy Tab weighs 380 grams and measures 190x120x12mm. On the other hand, Playbook measures 193x130x10mm and weighs in at 400 grams. Clearly, Tab is lighter but the Playbook is the thinnest. Just for the records, iPad weighs 680 grams for the Wi-Fi only version and 730 grams for the 3G version. So, ask you yourself this query - you want the thinnest or the lightest?
Display
Before the Tab was launched, there were rumors that it would be equipped with an Amoled display. However, those rumors were not true and both Galaxy Tab and Playbook come with 7-inch Lcd displays, packing 1024x600 pixel resolution (Wsvga). Fortunately, both displays have great potential and accepts multitouch gestures and can output Hd content.
Power
This is where Playbook unmistakably shines. It is the first tablet to sport a dual core 1Ghz processor. Galaxy Tab is powered by Cortex A8, 1Ghz processor. Playbook boasts 1Gb Ram, whereas the Tab comes with 512Mb Ram, which is still enough for an Android tablet.
Battery Life
Rim has not stated lawful runtimes for its Playbook, but we do know that the Tab runs level for 8-9 hours which is astonishing for a small machine like this. Battery life is prominent when we are talking about mobile devices.
Camera
Playbook features 3Mp camera in the front and 5Mp camera at the back with full maintain for 1080p video recording. The Tab comes with 1.3Mp camera in the front and 3.2Mp rear camera. Flash is also gift on the Tab which would help you to take pictures in low-light situations.
